Completion of the Cuchi-Cutato road rehabilitation project in Angola

INZAG has successfully completed the construction works on the 54 km road project from Cuchi to Cutato in the Cuando Cubango region of Angola.

The project was commissioned by INEA – Instituto de Estradas de Angola, and financed by a consortium of German banks led by Commerzbank. The total contract value reached 58 million euros.

With the rehabilitation of this road section, the surrounding communities and regional traffic will benefit from the greatly improved connection between the cities of Cuchi and Cutato.

With the construction of more than 60 culverts, this project was designed to ensure a smooth flow of traffic also during the rainy season. In addition to the new road, the almost 500,000 cubic meters of asphalt were also used for access to two water boreholes rehabilitated by INZAG as well as the Cuchi hospital, so that fast access is possible at any time of the year.

After the conclusion of the rehabilitation works, the consortium of INZAG Germany and GAUFF Engineering officially handed over the project on April 22nd, 2022.

With the successful completion of INZAG’s first road project in Angola, we look forward to our upcoming developments in this country.
