On May 27th, INZAG’s ECR Lot 1 project team in Ghana hosted a “Pacification Rite”, a traditional ceremony, at which the upcoming construction works in the area are blessed.
Our employees were invited to attend with their families as special guests, and were joined by local, district and parliamentary representatives of the project location. The event was also attended by representatives of the construction supervisors and the client.
The ritual took place at 6:30 am (local time) in the presence of INZAG representatives; at 09:30 am, the official event was held with the general public and guests, with various speeches and the usual “ribbon cutting“.
This ceremony is another important step towards integrating our project and our people with the local community, and towards demonstrating our respect for local customs and traditions, which are an essential element of our work.
