Caiundo (Angola), 18 August 2025 – The rehabilitation of the EN 140/295 is one of Angola’s priority infrastructure undertakings and a central modernisation project for the southern province of Cuando Cubango. The route connects the localities of Caiundo, Mbalatchau and Savate, and is of decisive importance for regional mobility, access to education and healthcare, and the movement of goods across the south of the country.
A step in the modernisation of national infrastructure

Local communities in Cuando Cubango celebrate the start of work on the EN 140/295.
The start of construction was marked locally by a public celebration with surrounding communities. For the people of the region, the new road means shorter journeys, better access to schools and healthcare, and economic opportunities along the corridor.
A partnership between Angola and Germany

Project partners at the official contract handover: Government of Angola, INZAG, GAUFF Engineering and INEA.
The project is being delivered on behalf of the Government of Angola — represented by the Ministry of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing (MINOPUH) and the Instituto Nacional de Estradas de Angola (INEA) — jointly by INZAG and GAUFF Engineering. Financing is provided through KfW IPEX-Bank under an export-credit-covered structure.
Economic and social impact on the ground
Investing in roads is investing in the future. The EN 140/295 fosters sustainable growth, social inclusion and new opportunities for the whole region. INZAG remains committed to delivering projects that make a tangible difference to people’s daily lives and contribute meaningfully to Angola’s progress.
Recognised as TXF Africa Export Finance Deal of the Year
The financing structure of the project was recognised in 2024 with the TXF Africa Export Finance Deal of the Year award — international recognition of the quality of the partnership between the Government of Angola, the German construction companies and KfW as the financing bank.
